Experience an authentic Farm Stay in Stanhope

Welcome to Ellesmere Park

Our farm stay offers a large grassed camping area suitable for tents, vans and truck campers, trailers and RVs. We are located within easy driving distance of Greens Lake and the Waranga Basin for fishing, boating and swimming activities and only 15km from Rushworth and the historic Whroo township.

Guests are welcome to join us as we feed the animals and can book horse drawn wagon rides during their stay. If a caravan or camping is not your style, we also offer our refurbished Chuck Wagon.

There is a camp kitchen and only one toilet and shower, so it’s a plus if you’re self sufficient. Ellesmere Park is pet friendly and allows camp fires.

Our Story

In 2019, we completed a 6-week trip around NSW stock routes in a convoy of horse drawn vehicles and road vehicles, to collect donations of money and in-kind goods on behalf of Aussie Helpers. These donations were used to assist farming families being severely affected by draught across Australia. Our journey inspired us to open Ellesmere Park Farm Stay on our farm, offering a large campground and farm stay experience for all travellers.

We hope that we can share our lifestyle with you and provide you with an authentic farm experience.

Activities

Pony Rides

Our friendly pony Dodge isn’t quite ready for pony rides just yet, but he loves a good pat.

The Buggy

Enjoy a trip back in time in our beautiful horse-drawn carriage. Fitting up to 3 guests, enjoy a 1hr ride and take in the scenery while being pulled along by one of our retired Standardbred racehorses. This ride is $25 per person.

Animal Feeding

Campers are invited to join us as we feed the farm animals, including baby sheep, cows and goats. We also have beautiful Arabian horses and retired Standardbred racehorses. Not to mention our sheep Lucky who thinks she’s a dog.

Hay Ride

Relax on the hay bales and take in the peace and quiet of the area being towed along by one of our retired harness racing horses. The ride takes approximately one hour and can fit up to 5 people. It’s subject to weather conditions. The hay ride is $25 per head and $10 for children under 12.

Chuck Wagon

Experience an era long gone with an overnight stay in our refurbished Chuck Wagon. Includes a bunk bed, fitting 2 people and room for an extra on a stretcher bed. The Chuck Wagon has a small kitchen and basic shower. This wagon has been used as living quarters on the NSW stock routes and is ideal for those who want to step back in time or do not have their own accommodation. Chuck Wagon stay is $50 per head, $20 for children under 12.

If you’re feeling a bit adventurous, we also offer an overnight wagon camp to the beautiful country town of Moora. There is a two person limit on this offer. Contact us for more details!
